The Harvard Global Health Institute is establishing a global health peer mentorship program! For upperclassmen who have pursued global health (of any field) at Harvard, consider becoming a big sib/mentor to first-years and sophomores who may be interested in similar fields as you are. For first years and sophomores who may be looking for 1-on-1 guidance on global health courses, internships, or research ops, sign up to be a little sib/mentee! The Harvard GH Hub is a searchable, easy to navigate online platform designed specifically for those looking to know more about Harvard’s diverse global health community and its ongoing initiatives. This one-stop-shop allows students, Faculty, and staff to explore and stay up to date on the latest global health courses, programs, events, and opportunities across Harvard. By illuminating Harvard’s in-house global health expertise and collating opportunities across a broad range of centers, programs, initiatives, and institutes, the GH Hub aims to break down silos and simplify efforts for meaningful collaboration and engagement across hospitals, schools and departments.

Summer 2021 Internships Info Session

Join the Center for Public Service and Engaged Scholarship (CPIC), Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI), and Institute of Politics (IOP) to learn about summer 2021 internship opportunities in politics, public service, and global health. The session will begin with an overview of application requirements, program eligibility, and program parameters. Representatives from CPIC, HGHI, and IOP will be available afterwards to answer any questions you have. We encourage you to drop by for a few minutes or stay for the entire session!

Apply to be a Global Health Ambassador

The Harvard Global Health Institute (HGHI) is excited to announce that applications are now open to join the Global Health Ambassadors Program! Global Health Ambassadors connect students with HGHI’s programs and services, communicate student needs back to HGHI, and promote global health engagement across campus through university-wide programming. We are currently recruiting ambassadors who will comprise the HGHI Student Advisory Committee (SAC) in 2021. This is a year-long volunteer position open to students of all concentrations and global health backgrounds! Applications are due next Monday, January 11th. You can learn more about the roles and responsibilities of ambassadors and apply here. Global Health C.A.P. (Communications, Advocacy, Policy) Wintersession Program on 1/12

Interested in global health? Curious about how to engage in health advocacy and policy? If so, join the Harvard Global Health Institute and Partners in Health Engage for the inaugural Global Health C.A.P. (Communications, Advocacy, Policy) Wintersession Program on Tuesday, January 12, 1-5 pm (EST). Harvard undergraduates can register here by January 8 at 11:59 pm: https://tinyurl.com/CAPregistration21.

 

This program will feature an interactive workshop where you will learn skills in health communication, advocacy, and community organizing. Afterwards, you will get the chance to apply those skills in teams and prepare an advocacy pitch about a global health issue of your choice. Your job will be to convince the audience ("policymakers") about the importance of your cause. Winning teams will receive prizes!
