The 2023 Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Forum, Reckoning & Transformation, will bring together Harvard community members from across campuses from all levels of the organization to examine our practices and come together to envision, discuss, and develop new directions, areas for growth, and ideas about how we can individually and collectively advance the University's EDIB goals.
Reckoning and Transformation
This year’s theme, Reckoning and Transformation, invites community members to prioritize truth-seeking, join in conversations and work together to fully understand the University's history and actions. This reckoning will acknowledge the need for healing and accountability, with the goal of transforming the University today.
The Forum will elevate and prioritize truth-seeking and reckoning with our past in order to more fully understand our history and actions, and using what we've learned to inform healing, restoration, and accountability in our community. It is essential that the process does not overlook either action, and hence, our decision to uplift both in the theme of the forum.
The EDIB Forum sessions will explore strategies for grappling with collective trauma, develop equity driven anti-racist practices, confront climate change through an equity lens, and more.
You can watch some of last year's sessions on the 2022 EDIB Forum playlist on the OEDIB YouTube Channel.
