This summer, Jackson is working with Greene County Health Care, a nonprofit in eastern North Carolina that manages several low-cost community health centers. He is working with physicians, staff, and administrators to help increase the community presence of their clinics, especially those that serve the large migrant farmworker population in North Carolina. He is organizing several community health events, which focus on improving health literacy and helping patients find resources in the local area. He also shadows healthcare providers in clinics and in the field through GCHC's Farmworker Services program, which provides blood pressure, blood sugar, and wellness checks at farmworker camps across eastern North Carolina.
