This summer, through the Center for AIDS Research, I am interning with Fenway Health's Government and Community Relations department. My department works to combat the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic by improving healthcare and social services for the LGBTQIA+ community through advocacy and outreach. During my internship, I have crafted letters and testimonials to be sent to the state legislature on behalf of Fenway Health advocating for certain policies and bills. I also worked with the Getting to Zero Coalition and the Activist Academy program to promote HIV/AIDS advocacy and awareness in Massachusetts.
