This summer, I am working at SaveLIFE Foundation, a non-profit improving road safety and access to emergency medical care across India and the developing world, through policy advocacy and grassroots intervention. I am working with the policy team on advocacy efforts to improve emergency medical care accessibility in India. My main project studies legislations across the globe ensuring right to emergency medical care, assessing efficacies thereof, and ultimately formulating advocacy strategies and policy recommendations. My day-to-day consists of literature review, data analysis, and other works. Road accident is an overlooked global health problem that claims 150,000 lives every year in India alone, and it has been incredibly rewarding supporting the leading organization addressing this issue.
