This summer I am working in the Ronald O. Perelman Emergency Medicine Research Division at NYU Langone Health. I am helping with a project that studies the barriers to organ donation in minority populations that are most in need of organ transplants but often have the lowest rates of donor registration. The goal of the study is to inform the production of tailored educational videos that can be screened to increase donor willingness. So far, my main role involves coding and analyzing qualitative data from interviews with potential organs donors in preparation for paper publication.
