This summer, I am interning at the World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Nutrition for Health and Development (NHD). WHO, as a leader in global health, is committed to ensuring the proper health of all people worldwide, and gives interns the opportunity to assist in this goal. I am interning with Lina Mahy, who works in the Office of the Director at the Nutrition Department. My responsibilities include facilitating nutrition policy creation in Iran, Spain and other country offices, assisting in the follow-up of the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition and researching and writing policy reports on sustainable food systems.
