I am (very excitedly) working with the MatCH Research Unit in Durban, South Africa on a study that aims to investigate the use of PrEP medications in HIV-negative women who are pregnant (or hoping to become pregnant) who have partners that are HIV-positive. PrEP use has recently been allowed and adopted by the South African MCC, but access is not yet widely available and its use in pregnant women has not yet been endorsed.
