This summer, I am assisting with data extraction, data entry, patient tracking, and data management at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. I am also assisting with focus groups, surveying adolescent HIV patients, healthcare workers, and caregivers. In the end, I hope to elucidate the impediments teens face when transferred from pediatric to adult care and the psychosocial issues that surround HIV care in South Africa.
