Please Note: This internship is co-funded with the IOP, and applications will be accepted until February 5th at 5PM.
The Healthy London Partnership is a public sector partnership that works across organisations to support health and care transformation in London – particularly where doing something ‘once for London’ adds greatest value. We work across London’s local government, National Health Service ‘commissioners’ (payers), the Mayor’s office, Public Health England and Health Education England. https://www.healthylondon.org/
London has been on a journey to securing devolution of health and care powers, decision-making and resources from national organisations and central government to the London system. We anticipate that the Intern would work on the implementation of this health and care devolution programme, supporting London’s health and care system to ‘receive’ these powers and operate differently to support health and care integration, prevention of ill-health and making the best use of NHS buildings and land. https://www.london.gov.uk/what-we-do/health/london-health-and-care-devolution
It is possible that the intern could be working on other transformation projects e.g. developing the health economy (relationships between industry, academia and health providers) in London.
- Supporting sharing and spreading learning from devolution pilots across London and nationally
- Analysis of transformation capacity and capability across the London system
- Policy writing to support national, London and local policy development and implementation
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience of health policy and some understanding of the UK National Health Service would be beneficial. We can provide background information about the NHS. Ideally interest in working at the intersection between organisations that influence health.
